EVENT COVERAGE FOR THE DAILY NORTHWESTERN

At The Daily, I’ve successfully adapted to strict deadlines and work standards akin to those of professional publications. I’ve covered several events during my first year in Evanston, including hours-long sessions of City Council and a meeting between NU and Evanston officials where audience members walked out. Efficiently working with editors to prepare the stories for publication, I’ve learned to be a more effective communicator under high pressure and facing tight deadlines.

I covered the court case and its subsequent fallout for Central Times, producing some of the only reporting in the state that helped students, parents and school workers make sense of changes to masking rules.
